This porcelain dragon tea set was made and hand-painted in Japan during the 30s and it includes a teapot, sugar and creamer. The teapot and the creamer have dragon heads for spouts and the handles resemble the scaled body of the dragon. Both the spout and the handles are in a pearlized blue glaze. The bottom half of each piece is a glazed gold lusterware finish and on the top are lids that have a dragon head for a handle. On the front of each one is a seated geisha. They are in good shape for their age except for a small nick on the rim of the creamer. Marked on the bottom of them is "Mepoco Ware, Made in Japan". Teapot is 7" high and holds 24 oz. Sugar and creamer are 6" high with the creamer holding about 12 oz.
