Red Ridge Mt Hodnett Yukon Diamond Drill Core Section 9" Sulfide Minerals Skarn

Red Ridge Mt Hodnett Area Yukon NQ size diamond drilled core brecciated skarn like granodiorite and mineralized argillite or andesite with pyrite, chalcopyrite, argentite and possibly galena / sphalerite in the matrix. This specimen measures at 9" length x 1 7/8" wide x 7/8" thick weighs 462.1 grams and was recovered from an abandoned core rack circa 1997. This item was cut length wise with a diamond bladed saw with the other half sent in for assay analysis during exploration in the 1980s. This core section is as recovered condition and would make an interesting rock mineral collection display or conversation piece related to the gold and silver mining history of the Southern Yukon Territory in Canada.
