The box is in great condition there does to be a bit of wear present but nothing too serious. The box is black lacquer and is trimmed with gold colored metal. On the top of the box there are figures made from mother of pearl. On the face of the box there a re also figures made from mother of pearl. It is a gorgeous box and the inside is lined with beautiful red velvet, it will keep your jewels well protected in a stylish fashion. The dimensions of the box are as follows 14. in x 9 in. x 10 in. It is a sturdy box that will keep all of your important items safe and sound. There does not seem to be any cracks on the wood and the hinges work fine, the doors are also aligned!
