Bei diesem Prozess wird ein gestrickter oder gewebter Wollstoff mechanisch verdichtet, wodurch die Wollfasern ineinander greifen und der Stoff fester, wärmender und wasserabweisender wird. Von einer kleinen Manufaktur im Zillertal hergestellt.
