Museum quality "Renaissance" master hand carved Helmet shell relief Italian cameo reflecting a revival of classical ideals. Scene features classical imagery with three goddess muses and an angelic angel. There is perfect balance of space, anatomy and proportion with atmospheric perspective to create depth. Tremendous movement from their captured positions to the small intricate details of their flowing draped garments. The angel is captured in flight facing left. Complemented perfectly with an Art Nouveau Revival spiral border framing. There is so much drama and sensuality to this piece and a must for any true collector of Cameos. This can be worn as a pendant or brooch. The approximately size of the entire piece with bale is 2.5" x 1.8"
